We have a new restaurant and bar open in Orrville called Junipers , it was formerly known as the pines restaurant. We would like to invite everyone to our latest venture. The hours are Sundays 11AM to 8PM, Monday thru Thursday 11AM to 9PM, and Friday and Saturday 11AM to 10PM.

Sam’s Pizza is sponsoring a benefit dinner for a Smithville Elementary student on May 24, from 5-7 p.m. at Smithville United Methodist Church.

Tickets for the benefit dinner are $7 for adults and $4 for children. Italian breadsticks, house buffet salad, ziti pasta and Italian sausage and seasoned beef for toppings will be served for dinner.

Did you know that Sam's Pizza is sold in many Wayne County school systems? We serve pizza in the Smithville, Doylestown, Creston, and Marshallville schools systems every week. This means your students have the opportunity to enjoy Sam's Pizza every week. We'd also like to announce that Sam's Pizza Fundraising will have students selling pizzas at Smithville, Orrville, and Marshallville PTO meetings in October. If you are interested in supporting these school systems find a student who is selling one of our pizzas and pick one up or purchase a few and keep them in the freezer. We Now Offer Gluten Free Pizza

At Sam's Pizza we understand that some people cannot eat pizza due to an unfortunate gluten allergy. Because of this, we are proud to introduce a gluten free pizza line at all Sam's locations (except Marshallville which we hope to have by December). The pizza is prepared under very strict guidelines to ensure that no gluten enters the pizza at any time. The pizza is only offered in medium size and begins with a crust that is specially made for Sam's at a gluten free bakery. All gluten free pizzas are prepared on a sanitized surface using ingredients, pans and utensils that are used specifically for our gluten free pizza. The gluten free pizzas will be available starting October 10. Check back for more details as we introduce our new gluten free pizza.

Ohio PTA Conference

Sam's Pizza attended the Ohio PTA Conference over the weekend, and we were in the vendor fair as exhibitors for our fundraising division. We met with a number of PTA's and other school groups throughout Ohio. We really feel that this is the best way to give back to the community. Our fundraising division has helped different non-profit groups raise nearly two million dollars in the past 10 years or so. Sam's loves giving back to the community!

Saturday, we had a pizza fundraiser for Grace Brethren Church in Wooster. Their youth group made 900 pizzas on Saturday morning!

In Memory of two very special people:

Joanne Beichler:

Joanne was the mother of Sue Sayre, co-founder of Sam’s Pizza. Joanne worked for Dr Kirk in Smithville for many years but still found time to work at Sam’s Pizza; almost from the beginning, and worked right up to when breast cancer took her life in February 2002. She was a very dedicated to her family and work as was shown in the care she showed in making pizzas for Sam’s. She is dearly missed by her husband, 5 children, 14 grand children, and 12 great grand children.

Roy Lee Montgomery:

Roy was the grandfather of Amber Holmes Sayre, wife of Brian Sayre. Known as “Pappy” to his grandchildren and 10 great children. He was married to his “forever love” Emily for 63 years. He was the father to five children who thought of him as their hero. Roy was a quiet man, devoted to his family. A man of integrity who had the respect of all who knew him. He was also a WWII Navy Veteran, who served proudly.

In August of 2010, an aggressive cancer took Roy’s life, after a 17 month fight. His family misses him more than words can express, but cherishes the memories and example of integrity he set for so many.

These contributions include a $500 donation to the Doylestown Relay for Life in memory of Sue Sayre's (Sam's Pizza co-founder) mother Joanne and Amber Holmes Sayre's (Brian Sayre's wife) grandfather Roy Lee. Sam's is proud to be a supporter of the American Cancer Society and research for the treatment of cancer.

NEW Signature Stuffed Pizza

Our Signature Stuffed Pizza was designed by Sam himself. It starts with a large dough ball, placed in a deep dish pizza pan. Then, tons of topping are placed in the pizza, almost 3 lbs of meat in the mega-meat and more than

2lbs of meatballs in the meatball-stuffed. Then a medium dough ball is placed on top to cover all of the topping. Also, there is almost 2 cups of pizza cheese for a total of over 1 lb of cheese throughout the pie. Combine all the ingredients with Sam's dedication to quality and freshness, and the result is our Signature Stuffed Pizza.
